About the role
M Oriental Bank is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Compliance Risk Officer to support its AML/CFT and regulatory compliance activities. The role covers transaction monitoring, KYC/CDD/EDD, sanctions screening, regulatory reporting and compliance monitoring.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Risk Management, Compliance, Banking or a related field.
- 4-6 years' relevant experience in AML/CFT, Compliance, Financial Crime or Risk Management.
- Experience in transaction monitoring and investigations.
- Strong knowledge of KYC, CDD and EDD.
- Practical experience with FRC/goAML reporting, including CTR and STR/SAR processes.
- Experience in sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening.
- Strong understanding of Kenya's AML/CFT and banking regulatory environment.
- Experience in a commercial banking environment is strongly preferred; CAMS/ACAMS, CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
