About the role

The Construction Technician position supports civil engineering projects for the City of Cleveland. Working under immediate supervision, the technician performs routine technical tasks essential to construction, drafting, and surveying activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute routine technical work in civil engineering projects.
• Assist with drafting, surveying, and construction documentation.
• Perform related duties as assigned to support project teams.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate's degree in Civil/Construction Engineering or a closely related field.
• At least one year of full‑time, paid experience in civil/construction engineering, drafting, or surveying.
• Valid State of Ohio driver’s license.
• Two years of directly related experience may substitute for each missing year of college education.
