Consultant – Finalise Kenya National Eye Health Policy

About the role

The Fred Hollows Foundation, in partnership with Kenya's Ministry of Health, is seeking an experienced consultant to lead the finalisation of the Kenya National Eye Health Policy. This short‑term contract will involve restructuring the draft, facilitating validation workshops, and preparing a submission‑ready document.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate existing draft sections into a single, coherent policy aligned with Government Guidelines.
• Identify gaps or inconsistencies and propose revisions.
• Organise and facilitate two national policy validation workshops with stakeholders.
• Integrate workshop feedback into the final policy draft.
• Support editing, design, and preparation of a print‑ready version for Government approval.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health policy development, preferably in eye health or related public‑health sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑stakeholder workshops and incorporate diverse inputs.
• Strong written communication skills for policy drafting and editing.
