Consultant – Guidance & Tools for CGIAR EBC Escalation Framework

About the role

We are seeking a consultant to support the Integrated Partnership Board (IPB) Ethics and Business Conduct (EBC) Executive in translating the CGIAR EBC Escalation Framework into practical, user‑oriented guidance and tools. The assignment runs from 15 June 2026 to 15 November 2026, requiring three days of work per week.

Key responsibilities

• Develop procedural guidance that operationalises the escalation framework across CGIAR centres.
• Convert framework provisions into clear decision‑making steps, criteria, and templates.
• Create practical tools such as escalation checklists, reporting formats, and training materials for different user groups.
• Produce information‑handling guidance, including roles, responsibilities, and safeguards for sensitive data.
• Support the EBC working group by providing implementation feedback, reviewing proposed revisions, and ensuring alignment with evolving framework requirements.
• Assemble a consolidated implementation toolkit that can be used consistently throughout the CGIAR system.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in developing procedural guidance, templates, or toolkits for multi‑jurisdictional organisations.
• Strong understanding of compliance, ethics, or legal processes in international research or development settings.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent written communication skills to produce clear, user‑friendly documentation.
