Consultant – Private Sector Engagement Outreach Materials

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme seeks a consultant to strengthen private‑sector engagement on sustainable peatland management in the Congo Basin. The role focuses on creating high‑quality, evidence‑based bilingual (English‑French) communication products that support outreach to investors and financiers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop two targeted briefs that present the business case for sustainable peatland investments.
• Produce outreach materials and event support documents tailored to private‑sector audiences.
• Ensure all communication products are evidence‑based, clear, and bilingual.
• Collaborate with UNEP teams and external stakeholders to gather relevant data and insights.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and briefing notes for investment‑focused events.

Required profile

• Experience in private‑sector engagement or outreach within the environmental sector.
• Familiarity with sustainable peatland management concepts, especially in the Congo Basin.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver polished communication materials.

Required skills

• Fluent written and spoken English and French.
