About the role
The Department of Surgery seeks a Senior Instructor/Lecturer & Consultant Spine Surgeon to lead a high‑performing team delivering spine and neurosurgery services in Nairobi. The position blends clinical excellence, program leadership, and strategic development to provide patient‑centred care while advancing research and education.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and mentor a highly skilled team for spine and neurosurgery services.
- Provide top‑quality clinical care and oversee patient‑centred treatment pathways.
- Lead program and strategic initiatives to expand service capacity.
- Promote and conduct clinical research and educational activities.
Required profile
- Current medical registration.
- Completion certificate of specialty training in neurosurgery.
- MMed in Neurosurgery or equivalent with FCS/FRCS and at least one year of sub‑specialty training in spine surgery.
- Minimum five years of post‑fellowship clinical experience.
