Contract Agent – Strategic Communication Campaigns (FGIV)

About the role

The European Commission is seeking a Contract Agent (FGIV) to lead data‑driven communication campaigns that support the EU’s external action priorities under NDICI‑Global Europe. Based in Nairobi, you will work under the Team Leader – Strategic Communication in the Regional Partnerships Unit and collaborate closely with INTPA headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and evaluate communication campaigns that align with EU political priorities and audience needs.
• Manage external agencies to ensure consistent messaging and delivery.
• Monitor and report on campaign performance, measuring impact on awareness and perception of the EU.
• Promote a “Team Europe” approach by coordinating with Member State agencies, development banks, export credit agencies, private sector organisations and European financial institutions.
• Ensure campaigns contribute to the long‑term objective of positioning the EU as a relevant partner delivering tangible benefits.

Required profile

• EU national from an EU Member State.
• Successful completion of an EPSO CAST competition in a relevant function group.
• Experience in strategic communication, preferably within an international or development context.
• Ability to work under supervision while taking ownership of campaign delivery.
