Cook II – US Navy Support on Diego Garcia

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Cook II to prepare and serve high‑quality meals for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves maintaining food safety, sanitation standards, and delivering a welcoming dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a wide variety of meals, snacks and beverages in accordance with nutritional guidelines and menu specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation, storage, serving and eating areas.
• Collaborate with food service personnel to meet production schedules and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor food quality, safety and proper storage to prevent spoilage.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience preparing and serving complex menu items.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass contract medical, security and deployment requirements.
• Valid passport (minimum one year) and ability to obtain required visas and facility credentials.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines and preparation instructions accurately.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
