Coordinator – Infants & Toddlers Program (Montgomery County)

About the role

The Coordinator will lead the regional Infants and Toddlers program for children birth to age four with developmental delays, ensuring compliance with federal and state early‑intervention laws. Working under the Supervisor of Child Find/Early Childhood Disabilities Unit and alongside the Program Manager, the role oversees daily operations, staff, and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage master schedules for assessments and home‑based interventions across multiple sites.
• Oversee fiscal duties, including provider calendars and payroll procedures.
• Hire, evaluate, and support all staff assigned to the site, conducting weekly meetings and addressing concerns.
• Coordinate inter‑agency service teams, parent communications, and transition processes.
• Ensure enrollment in OASIS and follow IEP procedures for each child.
• Facilitate professional development and stay current with research on early childhood developmental delays.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of typical and atypical development for infants and toddlers.
• Familiarity with federal/state legislation, IFSP and IEP development, and Maryland Child Outcomes Summary.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community resources.
• Experience handling crisis situations and applying family‑coaching models.
• Strong organizational skills for managing schedules, calendars, and payroll.
