Corporate Communications Manager

About the role

DIB Bank Kenya, a subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank, is recruiting a Corporate Communications Manager to protect and build the bank's reputation and public standing as the country's leading Shariah-compliant bank. The role covers media relations, regulatory stakeholder engagement, internal communications, executive positioning, employer branding and crisis management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the corporate communications strategy, producing press releases, announcements, leadership statements and maintaining a communications calendar
• Manage media relations, press briefings, the spokesperson function and media monitoring reports
• Design and run an internal communications programme with HR, including newsletters, town halls and crisis communications
• Support the CEO and ExCo with speeches, op-eds, thought leadership calendars and briefing notes
• Build a reputation management framework and respond to reputational risks in coordination with Legal, Compliance and HR
• Engage regulators, industry associations and community leaders
• Run the employer brand strategy with HR, including recruitment content, LinkedIn Careers and employee testimonials

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field; master's degree in business management is a plus
• Minimum 8 years in corporate communications, PR or a related field, with 3 years in financial services or banking
• Experience supporting CEO/C-Suite communications and managing reputational crises in a regulated environment
• Experience managing PR agencies and employer branding is an added advantage
