Country Manager – Kenya (NGO)

About the role

The Country Manager will be the senior leader for the NGO’s operations in Kenya, reporting directly to the CEO. This role is responsible for establishing the local office, building a high‑performing team, and aligning regional activities with the global strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for the Kenya office, overseeing staff, budgets, systems and day‑to‑day operations.
• Establish and refine policies, procedures and internal controls to support scaling and operational excellence.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management and professional development of team members.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, expense optimisation and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate and improve operational processes and financial outcomes.
• Prepare reports and strategic updates for executive leadership.
• Identify and resolve operational, personnel, client service and regulatory issues.
• Document and institutionalise operational knowledge and best practices.
• Provide spiritual leadership through prayer, biblical teaching and personal example.

Required profile

• MBA or equivalent advanced business education preferred.
• Executive‑level experience managing multi‑functional teams.
• Experience with for‑profit and nonprofit governmental filings preferred.
• Familiarity with charitable organisations, family foundations and high‑net‑worth individual matters preferred.
