Country Technical Coordinator – Resilience & Durable Solutions

About the role

The Country Technical Coordinator will lead resilience and durable solutions programmes across Kenya, overseeing both urban and rural interventions. This senior position requires strategic oversight, partnership management and strong leadership to deliver high‑impact results.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage multi‑sectoral programmes, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and organisational goals.
• Oversee portfolio management, monitor performance, and drive quality improvement across teams.
• Represent Concern Worldwide with senior stakeholders, including government officials, clusters, consortia and peer NGOs.
• Strengthen local partners through remote management and capacity‑building initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols, particularly in high‑risk contexts.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in aid or social impact programmes.
• Proven ability to design programmes, manage portfolios and lead multiple teams.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and coaching skills, with high emotional intelligence.
• Experience working on large donor‑funded projects (e.g., FCDO, EU, Irish Aid, World Bank, UN).
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and security protocols.
