County Consultant for AASHA Program in Kwale, Narok & Migori

About the role

Girl Effect is seeking experienced county‑based consultants to lead the implementation of the AASHA (Age‑Appropriate Sexual Health Approach) programme in Kwale, Narok and Migori counties. The consultant will act as the primary liaison between Girl Effect, local partners and county governments, ensuring safe and effective delivery of community‑engagement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate training workshops, community sessions, and stakeholder meetings in collaboration with county health teams and implementing partners.
• Document attendance, feedback, referrals and performance metrics, and produce monthly and ad‑hoc reports for the programme team.
• Support government and partner engagement by maintaining logs of meetings, agreements and joint activities, and participating in technical working groups.
• Assist the Evidence & Insights team with data collection, consent processes and story‑telling for donor reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communications, public relations or related fields, with a focus on SRH, GBV, or similar social issues.
• Strong background in community mobilisation, stakeholder relationship management and working with county government structures.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Swahili, and a commitment to safeguarding, gender equality and child protection.
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
