County Coordinator – Turkana

About the role

The County Coordinator will lead FAWE’s programmes in Turkana, building partnerships with local communities, government agencies and NGOs while ensuring compliance with child and youth safeguarding guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, innovate and manage development programmes aligned with FAWE’s mission.
• Develop and maintain long‑term partnerships with local communities, state departments, CSOs and corporate organisations.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting and programme monitoring.
• Ensure adherence to child and youth safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Community Development or related social science discipline.
• Minimum three years of experience in an NGO setting, preferably with experience in child & youth safeguarding.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct issued within the last six months.
• Strong organisational, analytical and reporting abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience working with databases for programme management.
