About the role
The Court Clerk will support a leading Kenyan law firm by managing court-related documentation, liaising with court registries, and ensuring that legal processes run smoothly. This full‑time, onsite position requires a detail‑oriented professional who can work independently with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct due‑diligence at all court registries and relevant government departments.
- Process, draft, and file court documents, including pleadings, invitations, and affidavits of service.
- Maintain up‑to‑date court records and ensure accessibility for the legal team.
- Update managing partners’ and departmental diaries with hearing and mention dates.
- Prepare regular court updates and liaise with court registries and government offices.
- Verify that all submitted legal documents comply with court procedures and applicable law.
Required profile
- High integrity, hardworking, and self‑motivated.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and strong communication skills.
- Diploma in Law or a business‑related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in legal or court administration.
- Good command of English and a pleasant personality.
- Valid Court Process Server Certificate (mandatory).
Required skills
- Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
- Strong written and spoken English.
