About the role
The Credit Officer will drive the marketing, promotion and sale of credit solutions for Jawabu Biashara in Nairobi. You will be responsible for acquiring new customers, assessing loan applications and ensuring a high‑quality loan portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Market, promote and sell credit products to micro‑businesses.
- Recruit customers and conduct thorough loan appraisals.
- Follow up on loan repayments and maintain a strong, low‑risk portfolio.
- Manage risk effectively while achieving high customer retention.
- Prepare and present monthly performance reports.
Required profile
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Management, Banking, Co‑operative Management, Entrepreneurship or a related field.
- Minimum two years of experience in micro‑business and logbook lending.
- Proven experience in sales, marketing and portfolio management.
- Computer literate and able to work within a team to meet deadlines.
- High integrity, confidentiality and strong communication skills.
