Customer Development IT Manager

About the role

The Customer Development IT Manager leads Unilever's IT operations for the Customer Development function in Kenya. This role ensures master data integrity, reliable sales systems, timely reporting, and effective support of the Lever Edge platform to enable efficient field sales execution.

Key responsibilities

• Own creation, maintenance and governance of Customer Development master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Lead the Service Desk and Lever Edge Support Team, resolving incidents, user queries and technical issues promptly.
• Manage deployment of new IT solutions, enhancements and change requests, coordinating testing, UAT, rollout and post‑implementation support.
• Develop, maintain and automate business reporting templates and dashboards, delivering Lever Edge reports such as Perfect Store, EFOS, FCS, COTC and Outlet Detail.
• Act as liaison between Field Sales Teams and Head Office, representing Customer Development in regional Lever Edge and systems governance meetings.
• Maintain Lever Edge SOPs, ensure adherence to IT governance, data management and system control requirements, and handle audit follow‑ups.
• Lead and develop the CD IT team, allocating resources, managing performance and providing coaching.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading IT operations for a customer‑facing business function.
• Strong background in master data management and governance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage service‑desk functions and resolve system incidents.
• Experience delivering IT projects, including testing, UAT and change management.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, working with field sales and head‑office teams.
• Leadership experience in building and coaching technical teams.
