Customer Experience & Billing Assistant

About the role

The Customer Experience & Billing Assistant will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently handling registration, appointments and billing processes. This role combines front‑office customer service with accurate financial administration in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors courteously and manage check‑ins/check‑outs.
• Handle patient registration, appointment scheduling and incoming calls.
• Maintain and update patient information in the hospital management system.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to optimise patient flow.
• Keep the reception area clean and orderly.
• Generate, process and verify patient bills, insurance details and co‑payments.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims, follow up on pending bills and denied claims.
• Maintain daily cash reports and ensure compliance with billing policies and data‑privacy regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in a Business‑related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in front‑office or customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle high call volumes and multitask under pressure.
• Strong problem‑solving, active listening and attention to detail.
• Empathetic, patient attitude and adaptability to changing policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software and standard computer applications.
