Customer Service & Logistics Lead SSA

About the role

As a Customer Service & Logistics Lead at Mars in Nairobi, you will lead inbound logistics, customer service, and outbound logistics operations for Sub‑Saharan African markets, ensuring the right product is delivered at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy the Customer Service & Logistics (CCL) strategy for the SSA region to drive growth while reducing costs and waste.
• Lead, develop, and engage the SSA CS&L team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Drive continuous improvement across logistics and warehousing operations and manage the logistics conversion cost budget.
• Manage 3PL service providers to meet service level targets and collaborate with sales teams on operational frameworks with distributors.
• Oversee stock management and product availability to achieve case‑fill targets and superior customer service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or economics (Master’s or certifications such as APICS, IBF, PMP preferred).
• 8‑10 years of technical and functional supply chain experience, including logistics, customer service, and supply planning.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
