Data Analyst – Business (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Business Data Analyst on a contract basis to turn complex data sets into actionable business insights. The role supports a global leader in software development and data infrastructure, helping drive data‑driven decisions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and perform statistical analysis on large data sets to identify trends and patterns.
• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and regular reports using visualization tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Produce ad‑hoc reports and visualisations to support decision‑making in various departments.
• Validate data quality and maintain consistency through rigorous checks.

Required profile

• Proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases.
• Experience with data‑visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and data‑modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data processing.
• Advanced Excel skills, including functions and pivot tables.
• Detail‑oriented, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
