It also serves as the technical owner of Zoho Analytics.

Key responsibilities

  • Data architecture and integration: map data sources, define authoritative sources, build an integrated data architecture, standardise structures and naming conventions, and maintain a central data warehouse or integrated data environment.
  • Zoho Analytics administration: act as primary administrator, configure dashboards and reports, set up data feeds, manage user permissions, monitor refreshes and coordinate backups and changes with IT and Systems.
  • Data governance and quality: develop the data governance framework, define ownership and responsibilities, set quality standards, run validation checks and reviews, and ensure compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act.
  • Dashboards, analytics and reporting: build role-based dashboards, automate routine reporting, analyse programme, finance and operational data together, and produce analytical summaries.
  • Capacity building: train staff and external data collectors, write user guides and SOPs, train a backup administrator, and maintain a costed maintenance and improvement plan.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Business Analytics, M&E, Epidemiology or a related field; a relevant master's degree is desirable.
  • At least five years of professional experience in data systems, analytics, business intelligence, M&E or evidence management.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing or managing integrated organisational data systems.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple systems and designing dashboards and automated reporting.
  • Desirable: experience with health, NGO, development or public-sector data, and managing data from multiple facilities or counties.

Required skills

  • Strong experience with Zoho Analytics or a comparable BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Relational databases, data modelling and data management.
  • SQL for data transformation, reconciliation, validation and reporting.
  • Results frameworks, indicator dictionaries and data-quality assurance.
