Deployment Project Leader

About the role

Africa Global Logistics is hiring a full-time, on-site Deployment Project Leader in Nairobi. The role leads deployment projects, coordinates implementation teams, manages timelines and budgets, monitors risks and ensures successful delivery of operational solutions. It requires a degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.

Key responsibilities

• Take operational ownership of the deployment of an assigned country portfolio, from kick-off to handover, and define, maintain and monitor Country Deployment Plans
• Ensure deployments follow the core model, methodology and roadmap, adapting to local constraints while keeping standardization
• Animate and coordinate central, regional and local stakeholders, set up deployment governance (committees, rituals, decision forums) and guarantee the use of the Deployment Kit
• Ensure quality of deployment deliverables, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation plans
• Deliver structured project reporting to the central deployment stream and country management, and promote consistent, predictable deployments across countries
• Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement, and coordinate with IT, Change, Training and Business functions

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience in IT deployment or transformation projects
• Proven experience in industrialized application deployments within an ISD or a large transformation program
• Experience in international and multicultural environments
• 2/3 years in logistics, transport, customs or TMS environments
• Strong project leadership, risk management, planning and reporting skills, and ability to work in complex matrix organizations

Required skills

• Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
• Power BI is a plus
