DevOps Engineer

About the role

Living Goods is looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer to design, implement and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure that supports its digital health platform. Based in Nairobi, you will work within the Digital Health Team to enable continuous integration, delivery and deployment of software solutions that empower community health workers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automation tools and frameworks for CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to translate requirements into reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Monitor, manage and optimise cloud and on‑premise environments for performance, security and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application development, deployment and operations.
• Maintain version control, configuration management and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tooling.
• Document processes and workflows to promote knowledge sharing.
• Continuously improve DevOps processes and adopt industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional DevOps experience working on Linux‑based infrastructure.
• Relevant cloud platform certifications are a plus.

• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible.
• Version control systems: Git.
