DevOps Engineer – SAS AML Platform

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Andela on a 12‑month contract, supporting a secure anti‑money‑laundering (AML) platform built on SAS technologies. The role is based in Nairobi, Kenya, with a hybrid working model and requires close collaboration with engineering, security and vendor teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the SAS AML platform and related applications.
• Configure, patch, upgrade and support SAS platforms across cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible or ARM templates and develop scripts in Bash, Python or PowerShell.
• Monitor system availability and performance, troubleshoot production incidents and implement preventive improvements.
• Apply DevSecOps controls, secure configurations and vulnerability scanning.
• Maintain runbooks and operational documentation.

Required profile

• 5–7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or platform engineering.
• Hands‑on administration of SAS AML or SAS Viya platforms (SAS programming alone is insufficient).
• Experience working in regulated financial services or similar environments.
• Residency in Kenya or South Africa.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
