About the role
The Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi – Senior School is seeking a Digital Design Teacher to deliver inquiry‑driven instruction within the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. The role focuses on fostering creativity, computational thinking and problem‑solving through digital design projects.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons in IB MYP Digital Design and related technology courses.
- Design inquiry‑based learning experiences aligned with IB frameworks.
- Develop schemes of work, unit plans and assessments that meet IB standards.
- Teach coding, web design, multimedia production, app development, digital graphics and emerging technologies.
- Integrate real‑world design challenges and authentic problem‑solving opportunities.
- Monitor, assess and provide feedback using IB assessment criteria.
- Promote ethical technology use, digital citizenship and responsible innovation.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary units and curriculum development.
- Participate in co‑curricular activities, mentorship programmes and school events.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
