Director, Country Cluster

About the role

The Director, Country Cluster joins the senior management team of BRAC International Holdings B.V. and leads a group of microfinance subsidiaries across a defined geographic cluster. This senior position ensures strategic alignment, operational excellence, and consistent performance across the portfolio while supporting CEOs of individual entities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of the Annual Strategic Plan for all entities in the assigned cluster.
• Provide performance oversight, identify gaps early, and drive timely corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for operational, regulatory, risk, and reputational issues.
• Advise CEOs on complex regulatory environments, government relations, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate support from central technical teams (Finance, Strategy, Operations, IT, HR, Audit) to address entity‑level priorities.
• Facilitate cross‑entity learning and best‑practice exchange within the cluster.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in microfinance or financial services.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and risk management frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization and influence senior executives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
