Director, Information, Communication & Technology (ICT)

About the role

The Director, ICT provides strategic leadership and enterprise‑wide oversight of information and communication technology, ensuring that digital initiatives drive health impact, organisational agility and data‑driven decision‑making across Amref Health Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all ICT functions and drive digital transformation across the organisation.
• Oversee enterprise and network architecture, cloud and data platforms, cybersecurity and ICT service management.
• Develop and maintain ICT policies, standards and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR.
• Lead AI, machine‑learning and advanced analytics initiatives to support evidence‑based decision making.
• Manage the ICT budget, optimise costs and report on ROI of technology investments.

Required profile

• 12+ years of relevant experience with at least 8 years in management, including senior leadership in a similar organisation.
• Proven ability to build high‑performing ICT teams and foster a culture of innovation and agility.
• Strong knowledge of modern IT systems, cloud platforms and cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with executives and cross‑functional teams.
