Director of Corporate Development

About the role

The Director of Corporate Development will own the organisation’s inorganic growth strategy and drive long‑term expansion through acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures and major commercial partnerships. Reporting to the CFO, the role is fully remote and offers significant autonomy, exposure to senior decision‑making and hands‑on responsibility for the entire transaction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a disciplined pipeline of acquisition opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
• Apply a consistent screening and scoring methodology covering fit, financial returns, technology, integration complexity and risk.
• Develop detailed valuation, scenario and sensitivity models, including synergy and financing analyses.
• Coordinate cross‑functional due diligence and lead assessments of target leadership, reputation and legal risk.
• Support transaction structuring, negotiations and post‑close integration, preparing materials for executive and board decisions.
• Track completed transactions against investment theses and report integration costs, realized synergies and performance variances.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate development, M&A or strategic investment roles.
• Strong analytical discipline combined with sound commercial judgment.
• Low‑ego, execution‑oriented mindset with ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for senior‑level presentations.
