Director of Revenue

About the role

The Director of Revenue will lead the Commercial Strategy team at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, shaping the hotel’s revenue vision and driving profit across rooms, restaurants, spas and other outlets. Based in Nairobi, the role partners with ownership, marketing and distribution teams to optimise pricing, inventory and e‑commerce strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a total‑hotel profit optimisation strategy, collaborating with all profit‑generation departments.
• Produce short‑ and long‑term forecasts, set pricing and yielding tactics, and manage inventory across all booking channels.
• Lead weekly Revenue Management meetings, present insights to ownership, and monitor market and economic indicators.
• Oversee channel distribution strategies, evaluate new booking opportunities, and manage relationships with OTA/CTO partners.
• Maintain system hygiene for RMS, CRS (ORS, TARS), rate‑shopping tools and TravelCLICK platforms.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Hotel Management, Accounting, Finance or Mathematics (preferred).
• Minimum five years of experience in luxury hotel sales/revenue management with a proven record of exceeding targets.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and leadership abilities, with a proactive “can‑do” mindset.
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to work independently while coaching a team.
