Director of Sales

About the role

The Chefs' Warehouse is seeking a Director of Sales to lead and accelerate growth across its national sales force. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape strategy, drive profitability, and deepen relationships with our extensive network of chefs and food‑service customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own sales and gross profit targets for the division, monitoring performance against plan.
• Develop and execute a market‑specific business plan and sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
• Lead, coach and evaluate Sales Associates, conducting regular performance reviews and sales update meetings.
• Design action plans to capture new market opportunities and expand the customer base.
• Collaborate with marketing to create and implement promotional initiatives as needed.
• Ensure rigorous Customer Relationship Management practices and provide timely pricing, proposals and competitive analysis.
• Control expenses to stay within budget and uphold company policies and ethical standards.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of proven sales experience, preferably in food‑service or distribution.
• Demonstrated leadership of high‑performing teams and major client projects.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative style with a commitment to ethical standards and diversity.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) processes.
• Ability to develop pricing models, proposals and presentations.
• Budget management and expense control.
