Document Analyst – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

The Document Analyst ensures that all incoming documents are accurate, authentic, and compliant with global regulations. Working remotely, you will support operational integrity by detecting discrepancies, validating data, and flagging potential fraud across a wide range of document types.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and validate data extracted from IDs, proof‑of‑address, financial statements, legal contracts, and medical forms.
• Identify sophisticated document fraud, including photoshopped IDs, counterfeit documents, and deep‑fake attempts.
• Apply forensic techniques to detect anomalies in security features such as holograms, watermarks, and micro‑print.
• Handle edge cases involving damaged, non‑standard, or foreign‑jurisdiction documents.
• Collaborate with Policy and Product teams to refine annotation guidelines and improve model performance.
• Provide feedback to ML engineers on OCR and extraction errors, contributing to high‑quality training datasets.
• Perform quality checks on junior analysts’ work and ensure high inter‑annotator agreement.
• Maintain compliance with KYC, AML, GDPR, eIDAS and other relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in document analysis, identity verification, KYC/AML operations, or data extraction.
• Deep knowledge of global identity, financial, and legal documents.
• Proven ability to detect advanced document fraud and biometric inconsistencies.
• Experience working in fintech, legal‑tech, trust‑and‑safety, or AI‑training environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OCR software and document verification tools.
• Experience using annotation platforms.
• Familiarity with data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV.
• Strong understanding of KYC/AML frameworks and data‑privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
