About the role

The Driver Acquisition & Fleet Operations Coordinator will build and maintain a pool of quality drivers for RJ Transport and Logistics Limited’s growing ride‑hailing fleet in Nairobi. This ground‑floor, flexible part‑time position offers a clear path to a full‑time salaried role as the fleet expands.

Key responsibilities

• Source, vet, and recruit high‑quality drivers, creating referral networks to keep a ready bench of trusted drivers.
• Onboard new drivers, match them to vehicles, and support early retention.
• Supervise vehicle servicing and garage repairs, ensuring work quality and accurate reporting.
• Learn maintenance processes alongside the fleet supervisor to provide coverage when needed.
• Record and manage fleet, driver, and service data in the digital management system.

Required profile

• Strong network in the Nairobi driver community or the drive to build one quickly.
• Excellent judgment of character to distinguish reliable drivers.
• High integrity and trustworthiness, as the role handles vehicles, drivers, and garage relationships.
• Fluency in English and Swahili; familiarity with Uber/Bolt ecosystem is a plus.
• Valid driving licence is advantageous.

Required skills

• Basic computer and smartphone literacy.
• Willingness to learn and use a digital fleet management system.
