Driver (Coast Region)

About the role

InformAction is seeking a reliable driver to provide safe and timely transportation for staff, consultants, and partners across the Coast region. The role includes local and out‑of‑town travel, often to rural or hard‑to‑reach locations.

Key responsibilities

• Transport staff and authorized passengers to meetings, workshops, trainings and field activities, ensuring punctuality and safety.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks, report faults, maintain service records, and keep the vehicle clean and road‑worthy.
• Support logistics for workshops and field events, including loading, unloading, and arranging equipment.
• Plan routes considering traffic, weather, security and communicate any changes promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel usage and any incidents, complying with organisational policies.

Required profile

• Valid Kenyan driving licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
• Minimum three years professional driving experience, preferably with NGOs or similar organisations.
• Diploma in social sciences or related field; a degree is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Kenya’s road network, especially rural routes in the Coast region.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to handle logistical documentation.
