Driver II (3 Positions)

About the role

The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) is recruiting three Drivers II (Grade IPOA 12) to provide transport services effectively and efficiently. The position reports to the Senior Assistant Director, Administration or the Assistant Director, Regional Coordination, and is based at the headquarters in Nairobi or regional and county offices. The consolidated salary is KES 44,720 to 67,340.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the organization's vehicles as authorized
• Carry out routine checks on the assigned vehicle and report any malfunctions or other occurrences
• Maintain the movement of work tickets for the assigned vehicle(s)
• Maintain the security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road
• Report all accidents and incidents promptly to the relevant IPOA offices
• Administer first aid in the event of an accident
• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle

Required profile

• KCSE mean grade of D (Plain) or its equivalent qualification
• At least two years' proven driving experience
• Valid driving licence and a practical driver test passed by the transport ministry or AA of Kenya
• Suitability trade test for drivers
• First-aid course certificate of at least one week from KIHBT or another recognized institution
• Certificate of good conduct
