Ecosystem Lead - Jobtech Alliance

About the role

The Jobtech Alliance Ecosystem Lead leads the work to strengthen and shape the inclusive jobtech ecosystem in Africa, owning the ecosystem strategy aligned with the Alliance's systems change model. The role covers partnerships, community, events and campaigns, and includes leading DAWN's ecosystem outcome in Nigeria. The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya or Lagos, Nigeria, and candidates must have the right to work in the country where they are based.

Key responsibilities

• Ecosystem strategy: evolve the strategy for the Alliance's impact on the ecosystem, translate it into annual priorities, KPIs and plans with the Program Director, and lead DAWN's ecosystem outcome in Nigeria
• Listen to founders and ecosystem actors regularly through 1:1 conversations, roundtables and surveys, and turn their feedback into ecosystem insights
• Track what is being built in the jobtech sector and share regular insights with the community and the wider sector
• Grow the community, expand it geographically and onboard agents of change, and help sub-communities become community-led
• Weave a network connecting startup founders, investors, funders, service providers and policymakers, and develop strategic partnerships
• Represent the Alliance in key ecosystem forums and act as a connector between partners
• Design and lead campaigns that drive behaviour change within the ecosystem, working with the Community & Events Manager and the Communications Manager

The role manages the Community & Events Manager and the Communications Manager, works with the Product Lead on the ecosystem intelligence platform, and sits on top of a network of thousands of stakeholders, 150 learning products, 100+ events and ongoing acceleration activities with 50+ startups.
