Education Solutions Engineer

About the role

The Google for Education Solutions Engineering team designs, architects, and implements Google solutions at scale for schools and universities. As an Education Solutions Engineer you will drive the technical go‑to‑market strategy, focus on new technology adoption such as Gemini AI, and act as a trusted technical advisor to key educational institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify academic and business requirements and design solutions that integrate Gemini AI into existing campus infrastructure.
• Advocate for Gemini in customer meetings, workshops, and public events, showcasing its capabilities.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to provide feedback, influence roadmaps, and stay ahead of industry trends.
• Prepare and deliver compelling demonstrations, answer technical questions, and support the sales and adoption process.
• Lead technical aspects of bids, product briefings, partner training, proof‑of‑concept work, and coordination of technical resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in technical sales, solutions consulting, sales engineering, education technology, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience deploying the Google for Education toolset and managing technical architecture for universities or school groups.
• Experience with SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and web technologies.
• Preferred: 5+ years in sales engineering or technical consultancy, AI/ML experience, change‑management expertise, deep knowledge of K‑12/Higher‑Ed IT infrastructure, identity management (SSO), and Google for Education tools.
