EHS Executive

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited, trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, is a manpower management solutions firm operating across East Africa (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan). It is looking for a competent, skilled and experienced EHS Executive to work in Thika, Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Lead training, implementation and enforcement of statutory, client and Q-Sourcing EHS requirements
• Develop risk assessments for routine jobs and ensure risks are adequately mitigated
• Perform job safety analyses for non-routine jobs and implement mitigation measures
• Ensure quality PPE is provided in line with risk assessments
• Develop training materials, train staff and monitor safe working procedures
• Inspect facilities regularly and close out identified safety gaps
• Ensure timely medical examinations, inductions and statutory training
• Ensure inspection and certification of equipment, including statutory certification
• Investigate incidents when they occur and maintain accurate EHS documentation
• Prepare monthly and on-demand EHS reports

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an EHS officer in a busy manufacturing environment
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Studies; a degree holder with relevant EHS training certification is also acceptable
• Detail-oriented and highly safety-conscious
• Ability to work under pressure
• Supervisory and people management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
