Elective Teacher – Art & Health (PreK–8)

About the role

St. Teresa Catholic School is looking for a dedicated, faith‑filled Elective Teacher to deliver Art and Health instruction to students from Pre‑K through 8th grade for the 2026‑2027 school year. This part‑time position offers the chance to blend creative teaching with the school’s Catholic mission.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engaging, standards‑based instruction in Art and Health across all grades Pre‑K–8.
• Design and implement lesson plans that promote student growth, creativity, and health awareness.
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment with effective classroom management.
• Integrate faith‑based values into daily instruction to support the Catholic mission.
• Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid Illinois teaching certification preferred (not mandatory if candidate demonstrates strong strengths).
• Ability to teach both Art and Health to multiple grade levels.
• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom‑management abilities.
