Enterprise Network Operations Lead

About the role

Our client, a leading telecommunications organisation operating across multiple African markets, is seeking an experienced Lead – Enterprise Network Operations (B2B) to provide strategic and operational leadership. The role focuses on driving network availability, SLA compliance, operational efficiency and superior customer experience across several countries.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee enterprise network operations and performance across multiple countries, ensuring high availability and reduced restoration times.
• Provide leadership, coaching and performance oversight to country‑level network teams and act as escalation point for major incidents.
• Establish centralized service assurance, proactive monitoring, and standardised incident management for enterprise customers.
• Develop and monitor SLA frameworks, performance reporting and continuous improvement of customer satisfaction.
• Govern managed service provider performance through SLAs, OLAs, audits and performance reviews.
• Standardise incident, problem, change and preventive maintenance processes and harmonise monitoring, ticketing and inventory tools.
• Oversee operational lifecycle of enterprise connectivity products (MPLS, leased lines, fibre, satellite, fixed wireless, IoT) and ensure readiness before deployment.
• Collaborate with solution design, supply chain, rollout, provisioning and sales teams for seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering (master’s preferred).
• 5–6 years of telecommunications experience with hands‑on enterprise network operations.
• Professional IP networking certification (CCNA, CCNP or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing large‑scale, multi‑vendor network environments across multiple markets.
• Strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching and team development capabilities.
