Entry Level Credit Control Officer

About the role

Cerba Lancet Africa, a clinical pathology and medical diagnosis network in Sub-Saharan Africa, is hiring a Credit Control Officer in Nairobi. The holder manages credit and collections processes, ensures customers' credit needs are met and keeps to the company's credit policy and procedures. The closing date is Friday, 30 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely dispatch of monthly statements and invoices to clients
• Enhance cash flow by ensuring customers comply with payment plans
• Keep client records organized, including invoices, demand letters, credit appraisals and other documents
• Provide information to departments and branches needed for debt collection
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and give recommendations on debtor account adjustments to the supervisor
• Report risks associated with advancing credit services
• Prepare credit review reports, doubtful/bad debts reports and reports on billing, collections and resolutions
• Plan and conduct customer visits as necessary

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated proficiency in debt management
• Excellent negotiation, communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
