Environmental Compliance Technician

About the role

The Environmental Compliance Technician performs precision testing, inspections and related maintenance on fuel storage and fuel dispensing equipment to ensure operational performance, safety and compliance with regulatory and industry standards. The role also involves evaluating fueling systems, identifying deficiencies and supporting corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision testing and inspections on fuel storage tanks, piping systems and fuel dispensing equipment.
• Carry out compliance and operational tests according to regulatory requirements and company procedures.
• Inspect fueling equipment for leaks, malfunctions, wear and safety concerns.
• Document test results, inspection findings and maintenance activities accurately.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and recommend or perform corrective actions.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and tools.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and operational standards.
• Coordinate with site personnel, contractors and supervisors on inspection and testing activities.
• Support preventive maintenance and equipment reliability programs.
• Respond to service calls and assist with emergency troubleshooting when required.

Required profile

• Knowledge of fuel storage and dispensing systems and related testing procedures.
• Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.
• Proficiency with inspection tools, testing equipment and reporting systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to assigned locations.
