Executive Pastry Chef – French Inspired Pastries

About the role

The Social House is looking for an Executive Pastry Chef to lead its pastry and bakery operation, especially at The Living Room. You will create a distinctive French‑inspired pâtisserie experience that makes guests seek out the venue for exceptional croissants, cakes and other pastries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the entire pastry and bakery operation, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, texture, presentation and consistency.
• Develop a French‑inspired pâtisserie offering, including signature croissants, viennoiserie, laminated pastries, artisan breads, cakes, tarts, entremets, petits gâteaux and chocolate products.
• Create seasonal collections, festive ranges and limited‑edition concepts while continuously exploring pastry trends.
• Establish and maintain standard recipes, production specifications, yields, portion sizes and visual standards.
• Plan production requirements, manage stock levels and monitor ingredient usage, wastage and food cost discipline.
• Collaborate with procurement, the Executive Chef, commercial and marketing teams to drive product innovation and revenue.
• Lead, coach and develop the pastry team, building technical capability and ensuring knowledge transfer.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health‑and‑safety standards and maintain a clean, organized kitchen.
