Executive Vice President, Evidence

About the role

Evidence Action seeks an Executive Vice President, Evidence to lead the strategic growth and transformation of its Monitoring, Learning & Evaluation, cost‑effectiveness, and epidemiology functions. Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Global Leadership Team, you will ensure evidence drives program design, delivery, and scaling across 11 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the integrated evidence function, aligning MLE, cost‑effectiveness modeling, and epidemiology into a coherent decision‑making framework.
• Set a cross‑program evidence strategy with the GLT, defining key questions and methodological approaches.
• Institutionalize monitoring, learning, and A/B testing to continuously improve program performance.
• Establish and enforce quality‑assurance standards for evidence generation, data integrity, and uncertainty handling.
• Represent Evidence Action externally, communicating evidence philosophy to donors, boards, and technical partners.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent quantitative expertise with deep experience in low‑ and middle‑income country contexts.
• Proven technical leadership in cost‑effectiveness, health economics, or epidemiology, and ability to surface uncomfortable findings.
• Strong change‑management skills, capable of building trust across multidisciplinary teams.
• Operational experience in program implementation, not just academic research.
