Experienced Zoomlion Concrete Pump Truck Operator

About the role

LED Power Technologies (EA) K Ltd is hiring an experienced operator for a Zoomlion concrete pump truck, based in Westlands, Nairobi. The operator drives and positions the truck at construction sites and runs the pump and boom safely within manufacturer limits.

Key responsibilities

• Safely drive and position the concrete pump truck at construction sites, assessing ground and site conditions before setup.
• Deploy stabilizers or outriggers and the 5-section boom correctly, and operate the pump and boom within manufacturer safety limits.
• Coordinate concrete supply with mixer-truck drivers and site teams, and monitor flow, pressure and equipment performance.
• Manage delivery pipes, hoses, clamps and connections; recognise and respond to blockages and abnormal pressure.
• Maintain safe clearance from workers, structures, excavations and overhead hazards.
• Carry out pre-operation and post-operation inspections, clean and secure the pump and boom, and report defects, incidents and hazards immediately.
• Maintain accurate equipment and operational records and follow site safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Required profile

• Valid Kenyan Class CE driving licence.
• Demonstrable experience operating truck-mounted concrete pumps and on major construction projects.
• Substantial heavy-commercial-vehicle and specialized equipment experience.
• Direct experience with ZOOMLION concrete pumps and SITRAK / SINOTRUK heavy vehicles.
• Experience operating 40m+ concrete pump booms and heavy diesel, hydraulic or plant-equipment.
• Clean and verifiable professional driving record.

Required skills

• Concrete pumping, boom operation and stabilization procedures.
• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault identification and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work around heavy machinery and demanding site conditions.
