Exports Manager

About the role

Africa Global Logistics is hiring an Exports Manager in Mombasa, Kenya, through its corporate staffing partner. The role leads the company's international growth by managing export operations, driving business development, optimising logistics, ensuring regulatory compliance and building global partnerships. It is a full-time, middle-level position requiring on-site work.

Key responsibilities

• Client service: resolve client concerns, conduct client visits and service surveys, guide customer service staff and update client tariffs.
• Regulatory and compliance oversight: coordinate bond return submissions to KRA, liaise with customs on documentation, maintain export control procedures and prepare for external audits and inspections.
• Reporting and documentation: submit stock movement and warehouse reports to clients, prepare departmental performance reports and oversee export documents.
• Finance and revenue assurance: approve service invoices, monitor revenue collection and follow up on outstanding payments with the credit control team, and manage departmental budgets.
• Business development: source new business, issue quotations and build long-term client relationships.
• Team leadership: assign workloads, monitor performance, coordinate staff training and train staff on systems.
• Operational coordination: manage daily operations and route client queries promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in export operations.
