External Relations Officer (Makueni Agrihub)

About the role

The External Relations Officer will support ENEK in building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating effective communication with communities, government agencies, and NGOs.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule meetings, prepare materials, and maintain communication logs with key stakeholders.
• Organise regular briefings and bilateral meetings to provide accurate information to external partners.
• Collaborate with local communities to support timely implementation of ENEK projects.
• Act as the focal point for partner relations and community liaison activities.
• Collect and organise data, maintain records, and support reporting processes for stakeholder communications.
• Prepare reports and presentations, ensuring document accuracy.
• Assist in organising training sessions, managing logistics and follow‑up communications.
• Maintain and update external relations databases and track activity outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Communications or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in communications, external relations, community development, stakeholder engagement or administrative coordination.
• Strong organisational, multitasking and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
