Farm Supervisor

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Farm Supervisor in Kibwezi within the agriculture industry. The role covers supervision of crop and livestock production, farm operations, resource management and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Crop production: plan and supervise land preparation, planting, maintenance, harvesting and post-harvest handling; monitor crop health and pest/disease issues; keep crop records of inputs, yields, costs and performance.
• Livestock production: oversee feeding, breeding, health monitoring and animal husbandry; ensure health programmes, hygiene and animal welfare standards; keep livestock records of feeding, treatments, production and inventory.
• Farm operations: coordinate daily activities, assign tasks to farm workers, coach and motivate staff, and supervise tools, equipment and machinery.
• Planning and resources: support production plans, budgets and schedules; manage labour, inputs, equipment and supplies; monitor costs and suggest improvements.
• Records and reporting: maintain farm records and prepare regular reports on activities, performance and challenges.
• Quality control: ensure adherence to best practices, environmental standards and safety requirements, and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agribusiness or a related field.
• At least four years of experience managing or supervising a commercial mixed farm.
• Practical experience in crop and livestock production systems and in supervising farm teams.
