Fashion Designer

About the role

We are seeking a creative Fashion Designer to join our team in Westlands, Nairobi. You will work directly with clients to translate their ideas into stylish, market‑ready garments while ensuring high‑quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Meet clients to capture design needs, preferences, and expectations.
• Create detailed sketches, illustrations, and digital designs that align with client requirements.
• Advise on styles, fabrics, colors, and finishes to achieve optimal results.
• Conduct market and trend research to keep designs current and competitive.
• Source and select fabrics, trims, and materials based on design, quality, and budget.
• Prepare design specifications, measurements, patterns, and production notes for tailors.
• Collaborate with tailors and production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
• Supervise fittings, make adjustments, and perform quality control on finished garments.
• Manage multiple design orders, maintain organized client records, and provide excellent customer service throughout the design process.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a busy fashion design company.
• Strong creativity with solid technical design abilities.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of fashion trends and industry practices.
