Field Collection Officer

About the role

The Field Collection Officer will be responsible for recovering aged loans by engaging directly with clients across Kenya. This role combines field visits, negotiation, and relationship management to ensure timely repayment and maintain a healthy loan portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Contact clients with overdue loans and negotiate repayment plans.
• Conduct on‑site visits to verify client information and collect payments.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships, providing guidance on loan status and repayment options.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and submit regular performance reports.
• Ensure all collection actions comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Identify and report potential fraud or risk indicators.
• Achieve monthly collection targets and earn commission for exceeding goals.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in Business is preferred.
• At least 24 months of proven experience in debt collection, preferably within financial services or micro‑finance.
• Experience in fieldwork and client relationship management is highly desirable.
