Field Data Collectors (30 Needed)

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring 30 field data collectors for a short-term contract based in Kiambu-Githunguri. The work involves face-to-face surveys, interviews and questionnaires with community members, collecting accurate information according to research guidelines. No previous data collection experience is required.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face surveys, interviews and questionnaires, explaining the purpose of the research clearly
• Collect demographic and community information using approved tools and record responses accurately
• Enter information into the provided forms or data collection systems and check it for completeness and consistency
• Maintain confidentiality, obtain consent where required and follow data protection and privacy procedures
• Follow assigned routes, schedules and daily targets, attend training and briefings, and report progress and challenges to the field supervisor

Required profile

• No previous experience in data collection required
• Willingness to complete field training
• Minimum KCSE qualification or equivalent preferred
• Reliable, punctual and able to work for the duration of the short-term contract

Required skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, understand and accurately record information
• Comfortable working outdoors and moving between locations in the assigned area
